A mini online edition of the gallery and zine organised by Bob Milner

Around the world people, ordinary people like you, are creating brilliance. Wonderfully evocative drawing, writing that isn’t constrained by having to adhere to the tight needs of the chain bookshop sales demands. There is thoughtful and provocative work in all media. Money and success viewed in a very narrow and limited way play no part in any of it.

Creativity, the desire to add something new, to play and enjoy the ability to make something happen; these are the important factors that unite a vast body of people. PEEP! seeks to add to this, another place where excellent work has a chance to be seen. We exist as a gallery in a real place and soon as a paper based community with participants from across the world. We want PEEP! to be everywhere and for no other reason than it can be.

We don’t want your money, not much of it. We’ll take a little bit to ensure the continuation of the project but we will work for nothing; you won’t be subsidising our fetishes and whims. We do want your input. We want your work; the stuff you think is good. We want to show it for no other reason than we can. We are selective but we only look at the work you send, not your CV, or your name and reputation. The idea is to build an issue that works visually and that is our only concern.

At the moment, we have no idea where you can buy PEEP! from. The first issue will be out soon, possibly to coincide with the launch of Creature VII, perhaps not. There is no PEEP! home page, this sneak preview is the closest thing we have to a “websistance”. We don’t have a MySpace or a Facebook and there are no plans to upload anything; we’d like to steer clear of the revolution, we have our own thoughts. PEEP! isn’t opposed to the internet, we love the concept. We want to play on our own terms and not those set by a small group of people with a hidden agenda. If you want to join in by submitting images or written work, but not poetry, there will be an e-mail address at the end of the last paragraph. Ah, it looks like this is the last paragraph.
